Services for Tom Kopunek set Sept. 7

Friends and family of the late Thomas Kopunek, 53, are invited to pay their respects Saturday, Sept. 7, at St. Edmond’s Catholic Church, 409 King Charles Ave. in Rehoboth Beach.

The genial owner of Rehoboth’s Red Square restaurant and MailBiz and Javabyte Café in Midway passed away suddenly and unexpectedly Sunday, Aug. 25. Mr. Kopunek is survived by the love of his life, Victoria; their sons, Ruslan and Philip; and extended family in Pennsylvania, Missouri and Rehoboth Beach.

A visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. and continue until the service at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations to the Kopunek Children Education Fund.
