Author Nancy Sakaduski will sign copies of her latest book, "You Know You’re in Rehoboth When," at 10 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 27 at Browseabout Books in Rehoboth Beach. The 100-page picture book for adults contains humorous illustrations by Seth Pala and text that completes the sentence “You know you’re in Rehoboth when…” Familiar scenes depicted in the book include tiny dogs, enormous martinis, French fry vendors refusing to supply ketchup, and people going to great lengths to avoid Route 1. The book is published by Cat & Mouse Press in Lewes.

Familiar idiosyncrasies and iconic images of Rehoboth are featured in Seth Pala’s comical illustrations and Nancy Sakaduski’s amusing text. Wild waves, crazy traffic, drag volleyball, it’s all included in "You Know You’re in Rehoboth When," a picture book for adults that captures the fun, familiar oddities and insider humor of Rehoboth Beach. The book is priced at $12.95.

Nancy Sakaduski is an award-winning author who has written 18 previous books, the most recent of which was "A Rehoboth ABC," a children’s picture book. “It was great fun thinking about all the things that make Rehoboth unique,” she says, “those wacky things that go on all the time that the locals hardly even notice.”

She says the illustrator’s comical drawing style accentuated the humorous situations. “Seth was able to bump up the humor with his offbeat take on my text,” Sakaduski says. “His cartoon-like drawings really add to the fun.”

Pala is a freelance illustrator who works in Wilmington. He graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Art and Design with a BFA in 2012. Pala has won awards such as the outstanding student award as well as the reviewer’s choice award at the AIGA Blue Ridge and Greater Frederick Advertising Federation.

"You Know You’re in Rehoboth When" is available at Browseabout Books, Proud Book Store, Downtown Cowgirl and Gidget’s Gadgets in Rehoboth Beach. For more information on where to purchase the book, go to www.catandmousepress.com.
