Xi-Sigma Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi begins new year

The Xi-Sigma Chapter of the International Sorority of Beta Sigma Phi began the 2013-14 sorority year recently with a Beginning Day Brunch at the home of Past President Kris Pritchett.

The newly installed officers, including (l-r) Vice President Fay Burnham, Corresponding Secretary Jane McGann, President Gretta Wolter, Recording Secretary Carolyn Joyce and Treasurer Ann Wotring, will guide the chapter in the upcoming sorority year. The newly appointed Service Committee has chosen the Home of the Brave - Delaware Women Warriors Reintegration Program as the service project for the 2013-14 year.

Beta Sigma Phi is an international women's friendship network providing educational programs to its members and opportunities for service to the community. Xi-Sigma Chapter's members reside in the Cape Region.

From 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 21, Xi-Sigma will host a benefit dinner at the Georgia House in Millsboro to begin raising funds. The tickets are $16.99 for adults and $8.50 for children ages 4-12. Children age 3 and under may eat free of charge. Tickets are available from all Xi-Sigma members. For further information, call 302-645-9711.
