Diantha E. Pack, enjoyed entertaining

Diantha E. Pack, 89, of Lewes, passed away Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at Cadbury at Lewes. She was born in Baltimore, Md., Sunday, Aug. 17, 1924, daughter of the late William S. and Gladys E. (Smith) Seaman.

Mrs. Pack was very social and outgoing; she enjoyed entertaining and traveling all around the world. She was an avid bridge player, a Wii bowling champ, and talented in quilting. She actively participated in several groups including Cadbury at Lewes and the Village Improvement Association of Rehoboth Beach. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and the Rehoboth Public Library, where she volunteered and enjoyed reading to children.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pack was preceded in death by her loving husband Jack Dean Pack in 2007. She is survived by her son, Mark Pack and his wife Lisa of Springfield, Mo.; her daughter, Kim Lord and her husband Daryl of Corona, Calif.; her five grandchildren: Alexandra Pack, Adam Pack, Benjamin Kulak, Melissa Chittenden and Allyson McGee; and her seven great-grandchildren: Jackson, Easton, Maysen, Olivia, Gwen, Ella and Evan.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 17, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 301 King Charles Ave., Rehoboth Beach. Interment will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice in Mrs. Pack's memory.
