T. Theodore “Ted” Jones, loved flying

T. Theodore “Ted” Jones, 79, of Pembroke Pines, Fla., suddenly passed away Monday, Aug. 5, 2013. Ted was born Aug. 11, 1933, in Scranton, Pa., the son of Thomas Jones and Marian (Kalinowski) Jones.

He graduated from Scranton Technical High School and was a veteran of the United States Army, and proudly served our country in Korea. He graduated from Goldey-Beacom College with a degree in accounting and went on to earn his CPA certificate. He was an active CPA in Rehoboth Beach until the mid 1990s before retiring to Florida. Ted had a passion for flying, and held his pilot's license for multi-engine aircraft for many years, flying as often as possible.

He was predeceased by his parents; his two brothers, Harold Jones and Daniel Kohut; and his sister, Marion Gratkowski. He is survived by his two sons, Jeffrey T. Jones and wife Elizabeth, and Eric W. Jones; and grandchildren, Jacob, Courtney, Erin and Georgia Jones.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 28, at All Saints’ Church, 18 Olive Ave., Rehoboth Beach. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in his memory be made to the church.
