Are the Eagles too good to be true?

September 19, 2013

I knew the Eagles defense wasn't very good but I didn't think we would be in this mess so quickly. During the preseason we got to see just how much work needed to be done. The Washington Redskins were supposed to be good, but they haven't shown that to date and the Eagles were able to beat them in the first game. The San Diego Chargers completely dominated this past week on offense. It was very frustrating to watch the Eagles score 30 points and still lose the game. We should be winning every game when that happens. This week's Thursday game with the Kansas City Chiefs with Andy Reid at the helm promised to be interesting to watch. This game included the retirement ceremony for Donovan McNabb. I hope the Eagles fans that attend the game give him the respect he deserves for how good a player he was.

This is a huge week in men's golf! Someone could win big money! The FedEx Cup playoffs will conclude in Atlanta at the East Lake Golf Club in the tour championship. The perfect storm would be a player that is ranked in the top five in the FedEx Cup standings winning the final tour championship event. If one of the players in the top five in the standings coming into this weekend wins the tournament, he will win $11.5 million dollars! This is thanks to the combining of the FedEx Cup $10 million jackpot and the tour championship prize money. Technically all 30 players who make the tour championship can win the FedEx Cup, but it gets progressively harder to take it all as you get down in the standings due to the point system.

It would be helpful if Red Zone had a bottom line for golf.
