Girl Scouts to hold recruitment at St. Jude's Oct. 7

September 27, 2013

Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay Council Service Unit 30, serving girls in the Cape Henlopen School district in grades K-12, will hold its second recruitment night from 5 to 6:30 p.m., Monday, Oct. 7, at St. Jude the Apostle Religious Education Building.

"We had a problem with fliers for our first recruitment night not making it home from schools this year," said Service Unit Manager Janet Maher.  "So we are holding a second recruitment event before our regularly scheduled Service Team meeting in October."

Parents interested in enrolling girls in the Girl Scout program can stop by Oct. 7 to complete an interest form; adults interested in volunteering may also attend.  "You don't have to have a daughter in Girl Scouts to be a volunteer," said Service Unit Organizer Deni Matz.  All adult volunteers must submit an application and undergo a background check conducted by Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay Council.

Those who are unable to attend the recruitment may email their information to Bianca Mojica, membership and community development specialist, at bmojica@cbgsc.org or mail the fliers that did make it home from school to GSCB Service Unit 30, PO Box 126, Nassau, DE 19969.
