Lucille T. Wallo, 74, of Millsboro, formerly of Manchester, Pa., passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013, at her home.
She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Oct. 18, 1938, daughter of the late Louis and Carmela (Ervolina) Mazzalonga. Mrs. Wallo was a member of Mary Mother of Peace Catholic Church, enjoyed arts and crafts, had an extensive angel collection and loved playing bingo. Lucille will always be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, John R. Wallo; four children, John S. (Melissa) Wallo, Stephen L. (Jeannie) Wallo, Lori A. Wallo and her fiancé Robert Carpenter and Thomas A. Wallo and his companion Ellen Sanders; two sisters, Irene Gianesses and Janie Donato; four grandchildren, Stephanie Wallo, John Michael Wallo, Jack Swihart and Blake Wallo; and a loving extended family of numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, Sept. 23, at the Long Neck Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 32013 Long Neck Road, Millsboro. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 24, at Mary Mother of Peace Catholic Church, 30839 Mount Joy Road, Millsboro. Interment will follow at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro.
