Robert 'Bob' Segletes, heavy equipment operator

Robert L. Segletes "Bob", 63, of Lincoln, was called home to be with the Lord Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, surrounded by his family after his courageous battle. He will be missed by all.

He was a member of IUOE Local 542 as a heavy equipment operator from 1970-2007. He loved fishing, spending family time and tinkering on anything he could. He always made an effort to help anyone. He loved his family dearly and always expressed how proud he was of his three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Olga and Ollie Segletes of Wilmington. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Ruth Segletes of Lincoln; a daughter, Michelle Torbert and her husband Keith of Greenwood; three grandchildren; a sister, Nancy Rodalunas of Lincoln; and a brother, William Segletes of Ohio.

Memorial service will be 2 p.m., Friday, Sept. 27, at Delaware Veteran's Cemetery 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro. Immediately following the service, a Celebration of Bob's life will be held at the American Legion, Milford.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations being made to Season's Hospice, 220 Continental Dr., Suite 101, Newark, DE 19713. Arrangements are under the direction of Pippin Funeral Home Inc., Wyoming.
