September 24, 2013

Delaware State Police say they are investigating the suspicious death of a 52-year-old Dagsboro man.

Master Cpl. Gary Fournier said police were called to a house in the 30000 block of Power Plant Road shortly before 6 p.m. Sept. 23 for a report of a subject who had been stabbed.  When police arrived, the man had been located with wounds to his upper torso and pronounced dead at the scene by Sussex County medics.

The body of the victim, whose name has not been released, was removed by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and an autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause and manner of death. Fournier said troopers continue to investigate the manner of death, interview witnesses and gather evidence.
