MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 30 - Thirty days has September.

Beebe Medical Center really is all about keeping us well. For the next several weeks, on into November, Beebe is providing free flu shots in the lobby of its main campus on Savannah Road in Lewes.  9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Leave a donation if you want.  Nurse Beth West told me Monday that flu is already starting to show up.  Getting a flu shot is an easy and affordable way to avoid several days of pain and misery.

Check out Beebe's website for more locations where free shots will be available moving into the winter.

Say hello to Gov. Markell

Delaware Gov. Jack Markell will be in the Performing Arts Center of Cape Henlopen High School this Thursday, Oct. 3 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. along with members of his cabinet.  The Governor will be talking about his plans for moving Delaware forward as he hits his stride in his second four-year term.  He also wants to hear questions and comments from the audience about how The First State is being governed.  It's a free session.  Everyone's invited. Take advantage of this opportunity to get up close and personal with the Governor.

The evening's proceedings will be broadcast live on WGMD-FM, 92.7, and will also be live streamed on wgmd.com.

I hope everyone's taking advantage of this great fall weather and getting outside.  Exercise is cheap medicine.
