Congress gives the team no other choice

October 7, 2013

I recently received correspondence from one of our state representatives apologizing for the coming shutdown and blaming others for what I call this seemingly impending doom. I'm deeply despaired, insulted, and aggravated because I did my own tally of the votes that were put forth for legislation continuing to fund the government, and totally defund the (un)affordable care act.

Of those votes not one of our state's representatives were on the list in favor of the voice of the majority of we the people, to stop this unending, unnecessary spending of the working taxpayers ("right wing extremists" as we have now been labeled) dollars on unjust and illegal so called "pretended legislation" that is sending this country to the worst ruin it has ever seen in any time since our Founders established it.

If on my job I were to adopt a "do it my way or no other way" attitude I don't hesitate to say that I would cause myself to fall victim of my own ambition and create a "job shutdown." (In other words I cease to be an asset and in turn become a liability, no doubt looking for another job)

If I am given the privilege to act as a team player and do not adhere to the principles, policies and procedures of the team then I become as a tinkling brass and a sounding cymbal and give the team no other choice but to look for another sound.
