“Phantom of the Ferry” Returns to Haunt the Lewes Terminal - Paranormal Group to Host Special Event on October 12, 2013
(Lewes, DE) The unexplained! The mysterious! Looking to delve into the ‘unknown’? The Phantom is back by popular demand! The Cape May-Lewes Ferry has again teamed up with Delmarva Historic Haunts, the lab group of Gettysburg Paranormal, to bring you a night of haunted history uncovering the mysterious past of long ago sailors. Come spend a night with the “Phantoms of the Ferry” on Saturday, October 12, from 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight.
Did you ever notice the unknown sailor burial plaque on the patio deck at the Lewes Ferry Terminal? As history recalls, hundreds of unidentified sailors’ bodies washed ashore on the beaches of Lewes. In fact, the land beneath the Lewes Ferry Terminal served as burial grounds for these lost seafarers, and some say they are still roam the grounds today.
In 2012, Delmarva Historic Haunts held multiple paranormal events at the Lewes Ferry terminal that quickly sold out. “Phantom of the Ferry is an extremely popular event at the Ferry,” says Nikky Fisher, Lewes Terminal Manager. “Delmarva Historic Haunts provide a unique insight into what it takes to be a paranormal investigator while providing a glimpse into Delaware’s unique past. It’s great entertainment that also may spark your interest to learn more.”
Participants will have the opportunity to learn to be a paranormal investigator. Delmarva Historic Haunts team members will be instructing a Paranormal 101 class, where students will learn the skills it takes to be an investigator from a real, on the road team.
The event costs $25.00 per person and will be held at the Lewes Terminal of the Cape May – Lewes Ferry. The event is not recommended for children under 12 years of age.
