Thank you from Just Us for successful fundraiser

October 7, 2013

The volunteers of Just Us, a local cat and kitten rescue group, would like to thank the community for coming out to Annabella’s Restaurant Sept. 29, to support the work of Just Us. Special thanks to Amy and Mike Spray, owners of Annabella’s, for donating a percentage of their proceeds for the day and for allowing volunteers to conduct a silent auction and 50/50 raffle.

We would also like to thank the sponsors of the evening who provided items for the silent auction; they include: 1776 Steakhouse, Big Fish Grill, Villa Sorrento, The Buttery, Mike McShane Antiques, Dr Jaine Weise, Lighthouse Inn, Wash and Wag, Purrfectly Thrifty, Nancy Katz, Ooh La La Design, Pirates of Lewes Expedition, Gene Hoffman of Animal Rescue Realty, Linda Yinst, Steve & Grant, and Robert Thomas Salon.

Many people were involved during the evening, either selling raffle tickets, setting up auction items or taking in proceeds. We thank them for their contributions and for all they do year long to help our feline population. Special recognition goes to Tatim Kane, an eighth- grader at Beacon Middle School, who sold 50/50 raffle tickets until there were no more to sell.
