A Pink Affair to Remember Oct. 18 to benefit Cancer Support Community

The Cancer Support Community Delaware has been selected as the beneficiary of the 2013 A Pink Affair to Remember. Since 2007, A Pink Affair to Remember events have raised more than $50,000 for local cancer support organizations in Sussex County including the Cancer Support Community Delaware.

The Seventh Annual A Pink Affair to Remember will be held Friday, Oct. 18, at the Rehoboth Beach Country Club. Highlights of the event are a delicious luncheon, an accessories fashion show and sale, and a Chinese auction. For further information, call the Cancer Support Community Delaware at 302-645-9150.

Proceeds from this event will fund emotional support and education programs for those in Sussex County who have been impacted by cancer.

The mission at the Cancer Support Community Delaware is to ensure that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action, and sustained by community. It the only organization in Delaware dedicated exclusively to helping people cope with and manage the emotional aspect of cancer.

CSC also focuses on the cancer participants’ family and/or caregivers, including children and teenagers. All programs are offered free of charge. In addition, all funds raised in Sussex County stay in Sussex County to help neighbors.
