Summer-like weather brought out huge crowds to the 18th annual Boast the Coast Maritime Festival in Lewes. The day – sponsored by Lewes Chamber of Commerce and Lewes Historical Society – was filled with boat rides, food tastings, children's activities, sidewalk sales, a craft fair and a lighted-boat parade. Events also took place at Zwaanendael Museum.

Chamber officials announced that this year's lighted-boat parade will be the last. Because of dwindling number of participants, next year's parade will take place in the daylight at 5 p.m. during Boast the Coast and have a Halloween theme.
