Heidi Lowe Gallery will host an opening from 6 to 9 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 12, for Yevgeniya Kaganovich’s solo show, Function Fictions.
“Yev’s work explores the cultural and social functions of jewelry,” gallery owner Lowe said. “In this vein, she does a lot of interesting work with pearls. Pearls are expensive and represent prestige, but Yev also shows a pearl’s humble origins. This contrast is really interesting to me.”
Heidi Lowe Gallery’s hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. Upcoming shows are from 6 to 9 p.m. and include Multiples on Nov. 9 and Drusy Party on Dec. 14.
