October 19, 2013

Tickets are selling fast for the Beebe Medical Foundation’s 26th Annual Beebe Ball, to take place from 6 to 11 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 2,  at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center. The theme of this year’s event is The Greatest Ball on Earth Under the Big Top!

The event will raise funds for the Beebe Medical Foundation’s Nursing Education Campaign to complete the expansion of the Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing at Beebe Medical Center.

Event Chair Drexel Davison invites everyone to come and enjoy the East Coast’s celebrated Big City Band as it keeps guests on the dance floor all evening. Magician Rich Bloch will entertain the attendees and serve as Ring Master for the evening. This year’s silent auction will feature items donated by local businesses, vacation packages, and a priceless experience to bathe elephants at the National Zoo.

Harry Keswani, owner of Atlantic Jewelry on the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk, will create a surprise piece for The Greatest Ball on Earth. It will be a pendant encrusted with diamonds and various colored sapphires exclusively designed, limited edition and engraved with the Harry K logo. This is the second year in a row that Keswani has designed a unique piece of jewelry to raise funds at the Beebe Ball.

In preparation for the evening, local individuals and businesses are competing to see who can create the most spectacular table décor and themed centerpiece. This competition, which creates a special festive atmosphere, has been an annual tradition.

The Greatest Ball on Earth will also feature a raffle for a one-week trip to London. The lucky winner will spend six nights at the four-and-a-half star Park Plaza Westminster Bridge. The holiday package includes: airfare; round-trip airport/hotel transfer; a half-day guided tour of London; and a full-day tour of Windsor Castle/Stonehenge/City of Bath.
