Milton employees go pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October 16, 2013

Town of Milton employees will wear pink throughout the month of October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness. Last year, Councilman John Booros suggested the town consider taking on the pink initiative, but it never came to fruition. This year, Public Works employee Greg Wingo remembered that effort and put the wheels in motion. The police department is also joining in on the effort by installing pink lights outside the station.

"It is Milton's response to a nationwide effort to bring attention to this medical problem," said Mayor Marion Jones. "As mayor, I am extremely proud of the employees for taking this initiative."
