Certificate of occupancy issued for Hyatt Place Dewey Beach

Dewey Beach Enterprises Inc. has announced that it secured a permanent Certificate of Occupancy for its new Hyatt Place Hotel in Dewey Beach Oct. 11. This is the first-ever Hyatt brand hotel in Delaware.

“Hyatt Place Dewey Beach is a 21st century hotel for the Delaware coastline and is a legacy project for our company,” said E. Thomas Harvey III, president of Dewey Beach Enterprises. “The multiphased Lighthouse Cove project, which includes the Hyatt Place Hotel, represents a stellar investment in Delaware tourism and will generate significant economic growth and job creation.”

Hyatt Place Dewey Beach opened for business Sept. 19 and has already experienced multiple weekends at full capacity during the popular shoulder season.
