Cynthia Black, Lewes native

Cynthia (Cindy) Black, 61, a resident of Avon Park, Fla., passed away Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013, at Florida Hospital Heartland Medical Center in Sebring, Fla. She was born in Lewes Aug. 13, 1952, daughter of the late Genevieve and Richard Dennis.

Cindy's family located to Florida in 1967, where she graduated from Pompano Beach High School. After marriage she resided in Coral Springs, Fla. and in 2006 relocated to Avon Park.

She enjoyed reading, boating and caring for others. Cindy spent her last years in the untiring care giving of her mother, mother-in-law and father (who passed away four days earlier in the same hospital).

Cindy is survived by her husband of 40 years, Lonnie Black of Avon Park; two sisters: Terry Isaacs and husband Hobby of Ellendale and Bonnie Lingo of Lewes; three nieces; and two nephews. She was deeply loved and will be missed by many.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 29, at Epworth Methodist Cemetery, Henlopen Avenue, Rehoboth Beach. Arrangements by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes.
