Shirley A. Rodan, retired seamstress

Shirley A. Rodan, 68, of Georgetown, passed away Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013, at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford.

Shirley was born Sept. 4, 1945, in Georgetown, to the late Wilbert J. and Esther Donovan Mitchell.

She worked as a seamstress technician for ILC Industries, maker of NASA space suits, before having to retire due to illness. She enjoyed watching Lifetime movies, playing bingo, and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by a son, Jesse Robinson and his wife Laura of Georgetown; a sister, Doris Lingo and her husband Earl of Georgetown; a brother, James Mitchell and his wife Lana of Seaford; two grandchildren, Eric and Megan Robinson; and her special friends, Betty Fridley and Sharon Jester.

A funeral service and celebration of her life will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, Nov. 4, at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St. Millsboro, where friends may call one hour prior. Burial will follow at Millsboro Cemetery, Millsboro.
