Francis X. Fiege, 90, of Millsboro, passed away Friday, Nov. 1, 2013.
Mr. Fiege was born Feb. 3, 1923, to that late Charles H. and Marie Madigan Fiege. In addition to his parents, he is preceded by a daughter, Teresa Sterner in 2001.
Francis worked for Western Electric as a telephone equipment installation technician for 32 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in World War II and a member of American Legion Post 28 in Millsboro. He loved to play pool at the Legion with his friends. He had a sense of humor and an ornery way about him that was pleasing to all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Annie Fiege of Millsboro; two daughters, Nancy Trust of Severna Park, Md. and Susan Fiege of Laurel Md.; four stepdaughters, Barbara, Marie, Catherine and Donna; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A viewing and visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, Nov. 4, and also from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 5, with a funeral service beginning at 7 p.m., at Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro. Burial will be private.
