Cape hockey to host Ursuline Nov. 5 to open state tournament

Cape Henlopen has secured the No. 1 seed in the upcoming DIAA state tournament and will open play at home at 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 5, hosting the Ursuline Red Raiders.  On the same day at 2:30, 12th-ranked Sussex Tech travels to fifth-ranked Polytech.

Third-ranked Delmar opens its tournament at home versus 14th seed Dover at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 6. Fifteenth seed CR travels to second-ranked Tatnall, also at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 6.

The Cape boys'  soccer team has secured the No. 2 seed in the eight-team Division I tournament and will play seventh-ranked St. Mark's at 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 9, at Dover High School.

Number eight seed Sussex Tech faces top seed Salesianum at noon on the same field. Fifth seed CR travels to Smyrna the same day to play fourth seed Charter of Wilmington at 6 p.m., followed by sixth-ranked Dover versus third-ranked Appoquinimink at 8 p.m.
