Rehoboth man robbed outside Milton

The Delaware State Police are investigating a robbery of a Rehoboth Beach man after his car broke down outside Milton.

The incident occurred around 11:20 p.m., Nov. 3, when a 28-year-old man stopped his vehicle on the shoulder of Gravel Hill Road near Sand Hill Road to check on a mechanical issue. As he was underneath the automobile, he saw a dark-colored SUV pull up in front of his car and a male exit the driver's side.

The victim heard what he thought was the slide of a handgun being racked and the suspect commanded him to empty his pockets. The victim complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash before the suspect fled northbound on Gravel Hill Road in the SUV. The victim was not injured in this incident.

The suspect was described as wearing blue jeans and work boots. No other description was provided.
