November 10, 2013

Sussex Technical High School career-technical teacher Dennis Smith of Seaford has been named one of the Top 10 Certification Administrators for the Certified Electronics Technician examinations for the year 2013.

This award is given on an annual basis to the top ten CAs who not only give the greatest number of CET exams, but also promote the general welfare of the Certified Electronics Technician certification program.

Smith came to Sussex Tech in 2000 to teach the electronics/computer information systems engineering career-technical area. He has 23 years of service with the U.S. Air Force, 18 of which were spent in computer technology. He earned a master's degree in education from Wilmington College.

With more than 960 certification administrators currently promoting these programs, the Electronics Technicians Association has selected Smith as one of the 10 individuals for this annual ETA award.
