The Cape Henlopen middle schools ended their 2013 season Nov. 4 at their annual meeting at Cape's Legends Stadium. When the final horn sounded and the battle was over, Beacon took home a 3-0 victory.
Uly Slagle scored two goals, and Jake Geloff tallied one score. Beacon goalies Jackson Ostroski and Wes Lewis combined for four saves. Goalkeeper Alfredo Miranda tallied 13 stops for Mariner. Beacon finished the season at 10-1 while Mariner garnered a 6-4-1 record.
