Milton historic committee to meet

The Milton Historic Preser­vation Committee will meet at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 12, at the Milton Public Library. The group is set to consider an application to replace siding, windows and sliding doors of a garage located at 205 Mill St. Also on the agenda is an application to replace the front porch and side windows of a home at 407 Chestnut St. For more information, call town hall at 302-684-4110.

Rehoboth offices to close Nov. 28-Nov. 29

The Rehoboth Beach admin­istrative offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29 for the Thanksgiving holiday.

There will be no residential pickup on Nov. 28 or Nov. 29, but the city will pick up in the cen­tral business area of Rehoboth, Wilmington and Baltimore av­enues and in the sidewalk refuse cans.

Normal trash pickup will re­sume Monday, Dec. 2.

Cape Henlopen school board meets Nov. 14

The Cape Henlopen school board will hold its regular meet­ing at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14., in the cafeteria of Mariner Middle School.

A presentation on safety and crisis plans for district schools will be heard, the final 2014 bud­get will be discussed and an update on the land purchase for a new elementary school and ma­jor capital request will be made.

Possible action on the land purchase may be taken in the event no decision is made after a special meeting Nov. 12.

Rehoboth Beach commissioners to meet

The Rehoboth Beach com­missioners will meet at 7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 15, in the city com­missioners’ room. They plan to adopt a resolution setting a public hearing on an ordinance that would increase the side yard setbacks for any lot with more than 52.5 feet of street frontage and 5,250 square feet of lot area.

The commissioners will also confirm an appointment to the Board of Adjustment.
