Catherine G. Blondin, Edinburgh native

Catherine G. Blondin, 94, of Wilmington, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013.

Kay was born and raised in Edinburgh, Scotland, and moved to the U.S. as a young woman to work as an au pair. She served our country during World War II in the Women's Army Corps, and after her service, she devoted her life to being a wife, mother and grandmother.

Kay was preceded in death by her husband Norman and their daughter, Sharon. Kay is survived by two sons, Peter N. Blondin of Rehoboth Beach, and David J. Blondin of St. Georges; one daughter, Patricia F. Blondin of Camden; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A prayer service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 15, at the chapel of Gracelawn Memorial Park, where friends may call after 10.
