James W. Fontello, free spirit
James W. "Jamie" Fontello, 40, of Rehoboth Beach passed away Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, surrounded by his loving family.
He was the owner of Fontello & Sons Construction Company. Jamie loved cooking, camping, and going to Rehoboth Beach to see the sunrise and sunset. He was a free spirit, lovable, helping everyone he could, and a mentor to many. Jamie loved the holidays, especially spending time with his family. He was devoted to his children.
Jamie is survived by his son, William D. Fontello; his daughter, Scarlet R. Fontello; two children he raised as his own, Megan Rose and Savannah Jo; father, James A. Fontello (Carole); grandmother, Dorothy C. Octavio; brothers, Lance J. Fontello (Wendy), Ryan J. Fontello; sisters, Dorothy D. Boots (Kurt), Jennifer L. Phipps (Sam); and numerous nephews and nieces. Jamie is preceded in death by his mother, Nina D. Octavio; grandfathers William E. Octavio and James Fontello; and grandmother, Catherine J. Fontello.
A visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 16, in the Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Road, Newark, followed by a celebration of Jamie's life at 3 p.m. Burial will be private. A special thanks for love and support to Aunt Janice and Cousin Patty.
