Lena R. Conway, family treasure
Lena Rose Conway, 59 of Ocean View, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013.
Lena was born in Rutland, Vt., daughter of the late Francis Nutter and Shirley Shortsleeves. She was raised in Rutland Town and raised her three beloved children, Jacob, Jessica and Samuel Conway there as well.
Lena was a loving and kind mother, sister, daughter and friend. She was ill with cancer for several years but beat medical odds with love and laughter, her best medicine. Lena was our family treasure and we will miss her greatly.
She is survived by her children, Jacob, Jessica and Samuel Conway; grandchildren, Gianni and Mila Canino; sister, Katie McLeod; nieces, Jennifer and Lee Lee McLeod; nephew, Macky McLeod; son-in-law, John Canino; and brother-in-law, Billy Davis.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 16, at Melson's Funeral Home, Ocean View Chapel beginning at 10 a.m. with a life celebration and then at 11 a.m. with special memories. The family suggests donations should be made to the Millville Volunteer Fire Dept., PO Box 64, Millville, DE 19970.
