Way to go, Milton! With a forward-thinking mayor and fearless council members, it comes as no surprise that a bid was made on a Milton residential property directly across from the beautiful Milton Town Hall. Future office expansion and with plenty of time to outfit the structure for town government business (safety updates and ADA mandates), adds up to sensible planning and a sound investment of taxpayer dollars.
Many Delaware towns have too little property they own outright. Such is the case for Milton. Citizens should urge their elected officials to look into purchasing more land and property in town limits and especially when future uses can help to assure an ongoing high quality of life for all Miltonians - not to mention sound investments!
Now Milton looks to our town leadership to make our community as business-friendly as possible, even while keeping in place all layers of review of newly-proposed businesses and in-home businesses, as well. Milton wants new business of course, but review processes that safeguard everyone's rights and likewise, Milton's excellent quality of life, must be kept in place and exercised. After all, taking pride in our terrific little town includes urging our officials to maneuver Milton ever so carefully into its future.
Won't it be wonderful if we can forever look back on decisions made and say, "Way to go, Milton!"
