Stepping Stone spreads holiday cheer with special events

Hospitality Night Dec. 5 kicks off weekend of festivities at gallery

The Stepping Stone American Handcrafts Gallery will kick off the holiday season Thursday, Dec. 5, with Hospitality Night. Light refreshments and wine will be available at the gallery from 6 to 9 p.m. The festivities will continue through the weekend with the annual holiday trunk show of Starborn Creations jewelry from 1 to 5 p.m., Friday, Dec. 6, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 7.

One-of-a-kind jewelry inspired by the natural beauty of fossils, gemstones and minerals will be on display.  Hundreds of unique pieces will be available for all lovers of handcrafted jewelry. Starborn’s area representative will be on hand to share her extensive knowledge of the artist’s work and materials.

In addition to beautiful jewelry, holiday shoppers have an extensive array of new hand-painted lowfire pottery by Ron Korczynski and work by local artists Barbara Warden, Karin Snoots and Betsey Von Dreele. Glass, wood, pottery, metal and fiber art from more than 130 American artists is on display.

The Stepping Stone is located in historic Lewes at 107 W. Market St. The gallery specializes in fine handcrafts created by American artists.
