Cool Spring Farms robbery leaves one man injured

November 26, 2013

Delaware State Police say a man was robbed Nov. 25 as he returned to his Milton-area home.

The 26-year-old was dropped off about 10:05 p.m. by two friends and had just stepped on to his porch in the 19000 block of East Meadowview Drive in the Cool Spring Farms development when another man approached him with a handgun, said Master Cpl. Gary Fournier of the Delaware State Police.

The man demanded money and, after receiving some cash, he hit the victim in the head with the gun, Fournier said. He then fired a round at the home and fired three shots at the vehicle before the two men inside the car, ages 22 and 19, could drive away.

The suspect fled in an unknown direction. The 26-year-old man called his two friends who returned and took him to Beebe Healthcare where he was treated for a minor injury to the head, Fournier said.

The two men in the car were not injured.

Police are searching for a black man, about 6-feet tall, medium build, wearing dark clothing with a black mask partially covering his face. He is armed with a handgun.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Det. J. King at 856-5850 ext. 208, 1-800-TIP-3333, go to, text 274637 using keyword DSP, or download an app at
