Greenwood police are searching for two men they say robbed the Shore Stop early Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28, in Greenwood.

One man entered the Midway Crossing store at 2:35 a.m. while the other man stayed at the entrance, said Greenwood Police Chief Mark Anderson.

Inside, the man used a black semi-automatic handgun to rob the clerk of $48, 19 cartons of Newport cigarettes plus four packs of Newports, Anderson said.

The men fled in a white or tan, older model Lincoln with white registration plates possibly from Delaware or Maryland, Anderson said.

The first man is described as black with dark skin, about 5-feet-8-inches tall, weighing 200 pounds and wearing light blue jeans, a dark-hooded shirt and gloves.

The second man is described as black, about 6-feet tall, weighing 200 pounds and wearing blue jeans, a dark-hooded shirt, tan shoes and gloves.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to call police at 393-4801 or 1-800-TIP-3333.
