Judith S. Widdowson, loan officer

Judith S. Widdowson, 63, of Georgetown, passed away Tuesday, Dec.10, 2013, at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford.

Judith was a loan officer with Community Bank in Lewes for the past seven years. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and sewing. Judith was a member of Crossroad Community Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas E. and Mildred (Bumm) Short; a son, Allen Mumford; and brother Thomas Short.

Judith is survived by a daughter, Carla Whaley and fiancé Jason Miller, of Georgetown; three grandchildren, Richard, Theodore and Beth Whaley; and good friends, Tom and Karen Monroe, also of Georgetown.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 14, in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, where visitation will be held Friday, Dec. 13. from 7 to 9 p.m. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Georgetown.
