Bridget Ann Meyer, Hecht's store retiree

Bridget Ann Meyer, 62, died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin, Md.

Born in Cheverly, Md., she was the daughter of the late Ralph F. DeSarno and Julia Frances Rawlings DeSarno. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Gary E. Meyer. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel DeSarno and Johnny DeSarno. Also surviving is a daughter, Angelique Waldron and her husband Dana of Olney, Md.; three brothers, Ralph DeSarno and wife Evelyn of Harrisonburg, Va., Vincent DeSarno and wife Peggy of Staunton, Va., and Dominic DeSarno and wife Linda of White Plains, Md.; a sister, Rose DeSarno of South Carolina; one grandchild, Keith Waldron; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Meyer had retired from Macy’s, formerly Hecht’s Department Store, with over 20 years of service.

A memorial service will be held Saturday Dec. 14, at  2 p.m., at the Burbage Funeral Home, 108 William St. in Berlin. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be private for the family.
