Support Autism Delaware's adult vocational services via Parade of Trees

Make donations through Jan. 1
December 21, 2013

Autism Delaware’s vocational services for adults is one of several programs given prominence in this year’s Long Neck Grotto Pizza Parade of Trees. Each tree includes a bucket for donations to the named nonprofit organization. The public is invited to help by visiting Long Neck Grotto Pizza through Wednesday, Jan. 1.

Known as Productive Opportunities for Work and Recreation, or POW&R for short, Autism Delaware’s adult vocational services program includes community-based vocational services and competitive, supported, and self-employment plus social, volunteer, internship, and recreational opportunities for adults with autism spectrum disorders. In September, POW&R was named one of 10 effective programs nationwide by the Vocational Rehabilitation Service Models for Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders Project.

Go to autismdelaware.org for more information about POW&R and other statewide autism services.
