December 20, 2013

The buzz surrounding last year's party lasted until spring, and now the buzz is back. The Starburst Gayla will be held starting at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 31, at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center. Celebrating its 12th year, this event offers a full course buffet dinner catered by Food by Design, open bar all night, exciting raffle items, champagne toast at midnight, and a coffee and dessert buffet.

This year the dinner entertainer will be the popular Cathy Gorman, and the dance floor will be crowded all night with just the right mix of music by legendary DJ Peggy Castle of IDJ4Fun.

The dinner and dance run from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m., and tickets are $100 per person. The dinner-dance combo tickets require advance reservations, with dinner served from 7:15 to 8:45 p.m. Tickets for the dance only, 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., are $55. Advance reservations are a must for dinner/dance tickets. They will not be sold at the door. Dance tickets will be sold in advance as well as at the door.

Tickets for the event are on sale now at 302-227-5620 or www.camprehoboth.com.

The Starburst Gayla benefits CAMP Rehoboth Community Center and CAMP-Mautner Cares Program, providing health-related assistance to the community.

Along with the Starburst Gayla, there will be entertainment all weekend before at The Pond, The Rehoboth Ale House and The Seafood Shack. As part of the event, the Rehoboth Beach Film Society will present a women’s film, "Breaking the Girls," at 2 p.m., Saturday Dec. 28, at the Movies at Midway screening room.
