December 27, 2013

Delaware State Police are searching for four men they say broke into a Millsboro home Dec. 26 and robbed two residents before pistol-whipping one and fleeing.

The four men entered a home in the 31000 block of Careys Drive at 7:55 p.m. and confronted two residents inside - a 33-year-old man and a 41-year-old man, said Master Cpl. Gary Fournier of the Delaware State Police.

One robber pointed a handgun at the residents and ordered them to empty their pockets. The residents handed over cash, cigarettes and a cellphone, Fournier said.

Before fleeing in an unknown direction, one robber struck the 33-year-old man in the head with the handgun, Fournier said.

The 41-year-old was not injured.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts or identity of the four men is asked to call Det. S. Kelly at 856-5850, Ext. 219, 1-800-TIP-3333, go to, text 274637 using keyword DSP or use an app available at
