Baltimore City College tops Cape 73-63

Vikings split two games at Salisbury holiday tournament
December 30, 2013

Cape had already slain one giant in the Governor's Challenge, but couldn't knock down two, as they fell 73-63 to Baltimore City College Dec. 28.

Cape crawled into contention at halftime trailing 39-36 behind Tyreik Burton's 15 first-half points and a beastly 10-point performance from big man David Kwan.

But 6-4 senior Omari George led a three-guard attack with 27 points to keep the Black Knights in front, cruising home to a 73-63 victory.

Cape was paced by Tyreik Burton with 21 points, giving him 51 over two games, and a second-place finish in the three-point shootout on his off night between games. Jon Warren had 17 points, while David Kwan had a career-high 14.

Cape returns to the courts Tuesday, Jan. 7, when the Vikings host Sussex Central.
