Possum Point Players to hold auditions for 'South Pacific' Jan. 5, 7

The Possum Point Players will hold auditions for the Broadway musical “South Pacific” at 7 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 5, and Tuesday, Jan. 7, at Possum Hall, 441 Old Laurel Road in Georgetown. The show will be directed by Jim Hartzell, and the assistant director is Donna de Kuyper. Music direction will be by Liz Messick and choreography by Autumn Schneider.

The cast of between 20 and 30 calls for two young children, one male, one female, ages 6 to 10. Adults should appear to be from 18 to 60. Auditioners will be asked to sing, read from the script and follow some simple choreographed steps. There are also three nonsinging roles. Auditioners should bring their own music, but piano accompaniment will be available. Approximately one verse/chorus, or 16 bars of audition material are suggested.
