Sussex Bird Club to take a look at snowy owl invasion Jan. 12

The Sussex Bird Club will meet at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 12, in the Cadbury at Lewes auditorium on Cadbury Circle. Bill Stewart, director of partnerships and marketing for the American Birding Association, and vice president of the Delmarva Ornithological Society, will examine this year's snowy owl invasion into the Delmarva Region and beyond.

Utilizing up-to-the-minute data collected from eBird, Project Snowstorm and other resources, Stewart will present the latest findings, sightings and theories pertaining to this historic irruption. He will also share some helpful tips on field identification between males and females, recent video and a somewhat comical look at the resourcefulness of these majestic owls while they visit the Cape Region.

The public is welcome to attend.
