First 2014 Beebe Baby born Jan. 1 in the Women’s Health Pavilion at Beebe Healthcare

January 10, 2014

Noel Elizabeth Ford, weighing 8 lbs., 4 oz., was born at Beebe Healthcare Wednesday, Jan. 1 at 4:30 a.m., establishing her as the first Beebe Baby for the year 2014.  Her parents, Long Neck residents Kevin and Renea Ford, were thrilled. Noel Elizabeth is their fourth child. She was born in the medical center in Lewes.

Since Noel Elizabeth was the first baby, Women’s Health Pavilion staff members presented her and mom with a gift basket.  It included a collection of items that the department staff purchased, as well as a $100 gift certificate from the Beebe Medical Center Auxiliary. This continues the auxiliary’s tradition of supporting the Mothers and Babies  Services of Beebe which began with the formation of the auxiliary in 1936. The women’s pavilion was funded by the auxiliary with a $500,000 gift as part of the Vision 2000 campaign. The auxiliary is the oldest fund raising organization supporting Beebe.
