The Delaware Multiple Myeloma Information & Networking Group announces its expansion to Rehoboth Beach in order to meet the needs of the Delaware and neighboring Maryland beach communities. This group first launched in Dover in 2011 and will continue to meet in that location. The Delaware Myeloma group focuses on members sharing their personal experiences with myeloma as well as receiving updates on treatment, side effects, and quality of life issues from invited healthcare professionals.

The two meeting locations are Eden Hill Medical Center, 200 Banning St., Dover, and All Saints' Episcopal Church, 18 Olive Ave., Rehoboth Beach.

All meetings are held from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. the third Saturday of the month. The first gathering of 2014 will take place in Dover Saturday, Jan. 18. The new Rehoboth Beach group will launch Feb. 15.

The Delaware Multiple Myeloma group is affiliated with the International Myeloma Foundation, www.myeloma.org. Robin Tuohy, senior director of support groups for the IMF, said, “Our outstanding programs in education, support, advocacy, and research help thousands of families in a profound way. We are happy to provide you with an opportunity to meet other myeloma patients and encourage you to attend this expanding myeloma specific group. Remember, knowledge is power!”
