Bettye L. Wood, 85, of Millville, formerly of the Washington, D.C. area, passed away Monday, Jan. 13, 2014, at Harbor Healthcare in Lewes.
Bettye was born in Tacoma Park, Md., daughter of the late Robert and Gladys (Thompson) Hopkins. She was a retired sales person at Carpet Land in Rockville, Md.
She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, William F. Wood; three sons, William T. Wood, Dennis C. Wood and David W. Wood; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Jan. 21, at 11 a.m. in the chapel at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations in Bettye’s memory to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19966.
