Community helpers visit Sussex Consortium

Recently, the 4-year-old classes from the Sussex Consortium’s Little Vikings Learning Center received visits from two local community workers as part of their community helpers unit. Dr. Amy Robinson of the Family Practice Center in Lewes, pictured with Keagan McMahon, showed students some of the tools from her doctor’s bag and talked to them about the importance of checkups. Delaware State Police Cpl. J. Shawn Hatfield spoke with the 4-year-olds about 9-1-1 help, strangers, and police officers' job of helping people. The students were also given the opportunity to explore his police car.
