Jean O. Oneil, retired bus driver

Jean O. Oneil, 77, of Georgetown, died Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, at Delaware Hospice Center. She was born in Bridgeville, the daughter of the late Fred and Helen Mumford Lankford.

She worked at Hardee's making biscuits, retired from there, then drove school buses for Peppers Bus Service and Walton's Bus Service for many years. In earlier years, she enjoyed going to Riverside Inn, and in later years enjoyed watching TV.

She is survived by five children, John W. and Steve Baker, Kevin, Kenny and Lisa Bonneville; nine grandchildren, Georgette, Steven, Bruce, Brandon, Brooke, Taylor, Nicki, Kenny, and Tracy; 10 great-grandchildren; also a brother, Bobby Lankford; and her four-legged friend, Queenie, who will greatly miss her.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 22, in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 East Market, St., Georgetown, where friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. for a viewing. Interment will be Union Cemetery, Georgetown.
