SCRWC donates dictionaries to East Millsboro third-graders

The Sussex County Republican Women’s Club presented 154 English and Spanish/English dictionaries Jan. 15 to the third-grade students at East Millsboro Elementary School.The Dictionary Project is one of several charitable projects embraced by the members of SCRWC.

East Millsboro Principal Kelly Dorman and Assistant Principal Pamela Webb invited six third-graders to the office to greet SCRWC President Gale White and Dictionary Project Chair Donna Repass. “We love this project because this is a gift to each student, something for them to learn from and use for years to come,” said White.

The goal of the Dictionary Project is to assist all students in becoming good writers, active readers, creative thinkers, and resourceful learners by providing them with their own dictionaries.

Individuals and/or organizations can participate by contacting www.dictionaryproject.org or calling 843-856-2706. The Dictionary Project is a 501c3 nonprofit association registered in all 50 states, and all contributions are tax deductible.
