Sylvester 'Chuck' Quillen Jr., owned repair shop

Sylvester G. “Chuck” Quillen Jr., 56, of Clarksville, passed away suddenly Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014 at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes.

He was born in Milford, son of Sylvester Quillen Sr., and the late Charlotte (Lynch) Quillen.

Chuck retired from the Indian River School District after 25 years of service. He was also owner and operator of Quillen’s Repair Shop in Clarksville for 37 years, where he spent most of his free time. He was an active life time member of the Millville Volunteer Fire Company.

Chuck is survived by his father, Sylvester G. Quillen Sr. of Clarksville ; his loving wife of 35 years, Gail (Loveland) Quillen; a son, Sylvester G. Quillen III of Georgetown; daughter, Jenna Reynolds of Frankford; and three grandchildren, Kylee, Zachary and Steven.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Jan. 27, at noon at the Ocean View Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 38040 Muddy Neck Road in Ocean View, where friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon. Burial will be at Dagsboro Redmens Memorial Cemetery.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations in Chuck’s memory may be made to the Millville Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 64, Millville, DE 19970.
